Mr. Md. Alif Ifteker Seaum is a Research Officer at the Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI), where he has been serving since October 2025. His association with BEI began in June 2023 as a volunteer, followed by his role as a Research Intern from September 2023 as part of his academic programme at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). He subsequently served as a Research Assistant from January 2024 to September 2025, contributing to policy research, institutional analysis, and strategic initiatives.

He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Jahangirnagar University and completed his undergraduate studies at Independent University, Bangladesh, majoring in Global Studies and Governance with a minor in Anthropology.

Ifteker’s work sits at the intersection of politics, diplomacy, and international affairs. He writes regularly on foreign policy and political developments, contributing Op-Eds and analytical pieces to national outlets and digital platforms. Alongside his role at BEI, he serves as a freelance Editor of Geopolitical Insights for a local online news portal, Sotto News, where he curates and analyses emerging global and regional trends.

Prior to his research career, he worked as a Creative Executive at DA VINCI, a leading advertising agency, and earlier as a junior web developer at CODEX. These experiences inform his interdisciplinary approach, combining strategic communication with policy analysis.

Beyond policy work, Ifteker is an accomplished street photographer and visual editor, having participated in national-level exhibitions and received recognition for his work. His professional journey has involved close collaboration with senior policymakers, institutional leaders, and operational teams across Bangladesh, providing him with grounded insights into governance, decision-making processes, and the complexities of implementation.

During his time at Independent University, Bangladesh, he held executive roles in several student organisations and led the organisation of national-level events. A confident communicator and quintessential analytical thinker, he continues to engage across multiple domains, bringing intellectual curiosity and practical perspective to his work.
