The Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA), in partnership with the Commonwealth Secretariat (ComSec) and the Global Corporate Governance Forum (GCGF), organized a workshop titled “Corporate Governance Awareness Workshop” on August 22 – 23, 2007 at the Kurumba Island, Maldives.

Ms. Lopa Rahman, Project Director, BEI, was invited to be a speaker at the workshop, where she made a presentation on Corporate Governance: The Bangladesh Experience. In her presentation, Ms. Rahman shared the experiences of developing a code of corporate governance in Bangladesh and its implementation.
