The Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI), in partnership with Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), organized a seminar on Corporate Governance (CG) for the members of DCCI on August 11, 2007 in the chamber’s conference room.

Mr. Hossain Khaled, President, DCCI, chaired the seminar.

Dr. Akbar Ali Khan, Former Adviser, Government of Bangladesh, was present as the Guest of Honour and Mr. Faruq Ahmad Siddiqi, Chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission of Bangladesh (SEC), attended the seminar as the Chief Guest.

The key speakers of the seminar were Mr. Safi Rahman Khan, Executive Director, Bangladesh Freedom Foundation; Mr. Muhammad (Rumee) Ali, Managing Director, BRAC Enterprises; and Dr. Mohammed Musa, Professor, United International University.

Participants at the seminar included past presidents, senior vice presidents, and directors of the Chamber; senior management officials of commercial banks and board directors of listed companies.
