2nd Dhaka Divisional Meeting on "The Role of the Oversight Institutions in Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Public Organizations" was organized by BEI on 14th June 2012 at the Information Commission Bangladesh, Dhaka. A total of 22 participants attended the meeting and out of that 14 were government officials including representatives from OCAG and IC. The meeting began at 10:30 am and finished at 2:00pm. Ambassador (Retd.) Muhammad Zamir, Chief Information Commissioner, Information Commission Bangladesh was present as the Chief Guest. Ambassador (Rtd.) Farooq Sobhan, President, BEI, Secretary (Retd.) M.A.Taher, Information Commissioner, Information Commission Bangladesh; Md. Farhad Hossain, Secretary, Information Commission;  Mr. Md. Iqbal Hossain, Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh (OCAG) and Mr. Nepal Chandra Sarker, Former Secretary, Information Commission and Advisor, MRDI were also present in the meeting.
