Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) is going to organize the second Indo-Bangladesh Dialogue to be held in New Delhi, India on 19-20 March 2010 as a sequel to the successful Bangladesh-India Dialogue held in Dhaka, Bangladesh on 6-7 December 2009. The Center for International Affairs of the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) of India is hosting the Dialogue.

The main objective of the Dialogue is to examine the various facets of the menace of terrorism that is threatening the national development and inter-state and regional relations in South Asia.

The Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) in collaboration with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Centre is organizing a Roundtable Discussion on Human Rights issues as part of the activities for promoting the UN Global Compact agenda in Bangladesh. The event will take place on March 10, 2010, Wednesday, from 3.00 P.M. to 5.30 PM at the BEI conference room (House 20, Road 5, Gulshan 1, Dhaka, Bangladesh). 

The objective of the discussion is to create a greater sense of awareness on the many facets of human rights, particularly that related to CSR among the UNGC signatories, human rights activists, practitioners and corporate stakeholders on how companies can actually practice best CSR in respect of establishing and promoting human rights in workplaces.

We are expecting 30 participants, which include existing UNGC signatories, NGOs, and Human Rights based organizations.
