Mr. Mohammad Humayun Kabir is Senior Research Director at Bangladesh Enterprise Institute (BEI) and a former Research Director of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS). He is a gold medalist for having secured first position with record marks in Rajshahi Education Board in both SSC and HSC Examinations from Rajshahi Cadet College. Mr. Humayun Kabir studied International Law in Kiev State University, Ukraine, and International Relations in Oxford University, U.K. He is a recipient of several educational awards such as Commonwealth Scholarship, Ford Foundation Fellowship and Senior Fulbright Scholarship. He has conducted research in India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, the U.K. and the U.S.A. Mr. Kabir has attended many seminars and workshops in Bangladesh and abroad and presented a good number of research papers. His areas of research interest are foreign policy, security, regional cooperation, water issues, inter-state relations, etc. He has to his credit more than fifty research works, including books, monographs and journal articles, published in several South Asian countries and in Europe and North America. Mr. Kabir is a well-known research scholar in South Asia. He has traveled widely in South, Southeast and East Asia, the Middle East, Europe and North America.
